But wait… What is NACHMO?
National Choreography Month (NACHMO) is an annual challenge each January that spurs dancers, choreographers, and movement enthusiasts to choreograph by providing a month-long deadline and a community of peers. We are beginning registration for our local NACHMO events in Lafayette, La through Basin Arts. Who is NACHMO Lafayette for?
Any dancer or choreographer in the Lafayette area interested in participating in our local NAHCMO events.
What do I do for NACHMO?
Everyday in January NACHMO will display a prompt and you create and can show your work. The end goal is to choreograph a new dance work! At the end of the month, Basin Arts will host a studio showing where choreographers can share their new dance works-in-progress.
NACHMO is month-long event that is still growing here in the South. We are inviting you to join our local NACHMO community as we create movement, encourage collaboration, spark interests, and share new ideas. Towards the end of the month Basin Arts will hold a showcase where everyone is invited to present their works in progress in a welcoming environment.
