Hannah Trahan is a stained glass artist and owner of EHGlazzco based in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana. Hannah is a self-taught stained glass artist, inspired by nature and nostalgia. She pushes the boundaries of traditional glasswork, creating a variety of glass jewelry and home decor. Hannah began EHGlazzco with her partner, Elijah O’Regan, four years ago. Since beginning EHGlazzco, Hannah and Elijah have taken on stained glass work full-time.
Hannah’s glasswork has been featured in national projects like “The Glass Quilt” (2023) as well as “Shedding Light” (2025). Her work has also been featured locally through ARCHIVES Exhibitions. You can find Hannah at the Lafayette Farmers and Artisans Market every Saturday, as well as other local artisan markets where she sells her work.
Who makes up your art circle?
My art circle is made up of my whole community! The ones who inspire me, show up for others, collect my works, and push me even when things are tough!
How do you expand your art circle?
I expand my art circle within every event that I show up for. Showing up and standing up for your values to others will always attract those with like minds! My art circle grows every single time I connect with another over the things that inspire us most! Collaborating and bouncing ideas to anyone who’s willing to listen can bring you the best connections!
What value do you see in having a creative community?
The value that a supportive and creative community is immeasurable! Having others build you up and be there for you can make a hard moment bearable. Community is number one in my book of importance; sharing and creating with each other can change your life. Seeing things through the eyes of others expands not only our minds but our hearts whenever you’re working on a project! I love hearing others' interpretations of our works to see things in a different light for the next project I work on!
How does your artistic approach contribute to your community?
When creating pieces for exhibitions or community projects, I try to channel all the support and trust my community has given me. I try and push boundaries of what traditional stained glass is to inspire others to also push the boundaries of their chosen media! Nostalgia is a huge inspiration, and I have been told it brings those feelings to others as well when seeing the stained glass really shine. I hope it brings childlike wonder and feelings of warm nostalgia to my whole community!
Our weekly Art Circle series profiles artists throughout the community and is sponsored in part by Lafayette Visitor Enterprise Fund, managed by Lafayette Travel.
